March 1, Independence Movement Monument
This Monument was erected at the Nakdong Bank for the
cerebration of the 50 Th Independence Day. It was erected
in appreciation of the 1,200 marketers and young men who
led the Movement at Gupo Janteo after it started in Seoul
and quickly spread through the Country on March 1, 1919.

The Monument dedicated to the good son ¡°Cheon Seung-ho¡±
and his wife whose maiden name was ¡°Mrs. Lee¡± |

| 03. YangsanGunsu
Lee Yu-ha monument |

 |
This monument was erected to honor and thank ¡°Lee Yu-ha¡±
the former chief of YangsanDistrictn Office during Joseon
Dynasty. Lee Yu-ha is famous for his construction of irrigation
techniques that protected Daeri-maul in Gupo from flooding
|

04. Haksa-dae
: The place for Sonbi (scholars during the joseon Dynasty)

Haksa-dae is a famous place noted for its beautiful scenary
where ¡°Sonbi¡± congregated to compose and narrate a poem,
and is located at the tip of Yongdang of Hakseong-san
Mountain in Hwamyeong-dong |

| 05. Jo-dae
: the private place for fishing |

This was considered an enjoyable place for fishing during
the Joseon Dynasty. The Words ¡°The owner of Jo-dae, Im
Gyeong-taek¡± that were carved on the red cliff are still
visible today |

| 06. Geumgok-dong
Yulli shell mound |

Once in the late Neolithic era there may have been a cavedweller
here, and this cave called ¡®Bawykuljip¡¯
Is very rare relic in Korea. This type of old tomb
that contained a place for a charcoal brazier was discovered
by researchers. Other plentiful relics were also discovered
in the shell mound including earthenware, stonework
and ornaments.

| 07. Hwamyeong-dong
ancient tombs |

Seven ancient tombs of the Kaya Dynasty were found at
the foot of the south hill at Sujong-mail, Hwamyeong-dong.
They are the oldest pit-typed sepulchers in Korea. |
|

| 08. Deokcheon-dong
ancient tombs |

 |
Sixty-four 6th century transverse-typed sepulchers that
were for use soley for families and towns people were
excavated in the hill areas between Hwamyeong and Deokcheon-dong,
They cover and area of 2,000pyeong(6,611§³) and many relics
such as bronze wares, earthenware and ironware were uncovered
